MS SQL Server Configuration

The settings need to be configured as described below for MS SQL Server if Syteca Application Server is not able to connect to the database.

Open Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and:

1. Select the SQL Server Authentication or Windows Authentication authentication types. 

2. Define a password for the "sa" user, and enable the Login status (for SQL Server Authentication).

Open SQL Server Configuration Manager and:

1.  Enable Named Pipes. 

2.  Enable TCP/IP and specify port 1433 in the TCP Port fields in both the IP4 and IPAII sections.
